Have you ever had wings to fly
but they froze in mid-flight?
Ever had wings that crumbled
so finely into dirt, that the gloss of a feather was lost in
the ambers of the fall?
Ever had wings whose feathers halted in the sunshine,
and glowed like a guttering candle end?
Ever have the wings to fly
where new feathers blossom, but when your paw flies from the earth
they won't carry you far enough?
When Wings Go

Four seasons, and four pairs of wings. Which one will you fly with?
Oh yeah I have had these parts of my life.. like the song says " How can I keep my feet on the ground when I know, that I was born to fly?" What person has not been bound by our earthly limitations? I wish to be a horse and run forever, never being tired and going wherever my heart says to stop. To be a wave on the ocean to ride into the eternal sunset with the dolphins and the fish which make the seas be alive! Good words, very powerful! Spread your wings and fly while you can, someday you will be like me ( Hopefully not ) and you will be bound to the life that you have... its not all bad, but for a wanderlust traveler, its hard!
Yeah, I hope to be bound one day with a family of 4 or more. I want girls because I have 3 younger brothers at the moment. XD It's hard sometimes. I love horses, unicorns, you name it. I just wish I was free, and running like a spirit, a horse who even the wind can't hold. Yeah, freedom. I love it. Unfortunately, reality's clasps are firm and well I have to go to university but I will have my own freedom one piece at a time.
let me tell you as a mother of 3 girls and one boy.. Kimmy age 6, Melissa age 5, Adam age (almost) 2 and Jenni age 4 months, you cannot get any more freedom then you do when you go to a university, something I wish I did!
Wow, that was beautiful. Visually stunning and emotionally engaging for each stanza. Sad content, but lovely.
Thank you very much ^^. I appreicate yout comment.
I think I've had all four at one point in life... but that's just me. Lovely poem my love I love it!
